𝑴𝒆𝒏𝒐𝒑𝒂𝒖𝒔𝒆, 𝑱𝒐𝒊𝒏𝒕𝒔, 𝒂𝒏𝒅 𝑴𝒖𝒔𝒄𝒍𝒆𝒔~What’s Really Going On?

Feeling more stiffness in your knees or waking up sore even when you didn’t work out? You’re not imagining things.

As estrogen levels drop during menopause, it can trigger inflammation, joint pain, and even muscle loss. This hormonal shift affects collagen production (hello, creaky joints!) and reduces muscle mass, making movement feel harder than it used to.

𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒊𝒕 𝒎𝒂𝒕𝒕𝒆𝒓𝒔:

• You lose up to 1-2% of muscle per year after age 50 if you’re not actively working to preserve it

• Joint discomfort can lead to less movement, which leads to even more stiffness

• Weakened muscles = poor balance, increased risk of falls, and reduced independence later in life

𝑾𝒉𝒂𝒕 𝒄𝒂𝒏 𝒉𝒆𝒍𝒑?

• Strength training – even just 2x/week can make a huge difference

• Anti-inflammatory foods like olive polyphenols (Oliveda ingestible, anyone?)

• Daily mobility work – stretches, walking, gentle yoga

• Hydration – waterless skincare is amazing, but your body still needs plenty of fluid

Aging is inevitable, but how we feel through the transition? That’s in our hands.
